Drew Beal

For more than 25 years Andrew “Drew” Beal has represented individuals and closely held companies in state and federal courts throughout the Southeast and in appellate courts in Georgia, Florida and in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits. He specializes in handling commercial claims including shareholder disputes, claims of professional negligence and all disputes arising from the ownership of closely held companies.
Drew began his career in 1986 as an associate with the firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, a national firm which specialized in large scale property subrogation litigation, products liability and construction related litigation. For most of his career he has maintained his own practice or has been the main partner in a practice which specialized in business litigation and the representation of individuals in litigation. He has routinely handled a variety of claims for individuals involving: the denial of benefits under policies of insurance and defined benefit plans, claims arising from catastrophic injuries, and litigation arising from wills and estate plans.
Drew graduated from Duke University and received his law degree from the University of Georgia, School of Law where he was active in the Moot Court Society and taught in the School of Business. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the Atlanta Bar Association, holding positions as a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Judicial Selection and Tenure Committee, and Chairman of the Committee for Continuing Legal Education.
In 2006, he received the Atlanta Bar's Distinguished Service Award. He has maintained an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, and was selected as one of the Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine and by Atlanta Magazine as a Super Lawyer since 2007. He has taught Intermediate Civil Litigation as an adjunct professor at the Emory University School of Law for five years.
Drew has successfully represented numerous industries throughout the Atlanta area and throughout Georgia.
These industries include
- Construction companies, with annual sales between 15m-50m;
- Real estate investment companies with properties throughout the Southeast;
- Property management companies for both residential (apartments and individual homes) and commercial (shopping center space);
- Wholesale suppliers of food and merchandise; and
- Numerous retail companies throughout the state, including some of the Southeast’s largest jewelry stores.
Drew, his wife and two children live in Atlanta, where he remains active in Marist School where he attended and taught before law school. In addition, he is active at Christ the King where they are parishioners.
